Comptel is excited to announce that customer TDC Group has recognised us as its Best Performing IT vendor. The Danish communications service provider (CSP) specifically cited our contribution to progressing its strategic focus on “taking responsibility for the customer experience,” and our deep understanding of key OSS/BSS areas including inventory, rating and mediation.

“Comptel has proven to be a very capable, proactive and innovative OSS/BSS solution provider to TDC,” said Peter Trier Schleidt, senior vice president and COO, TDC. “Our team has especially valued Comptel’s dedication, sense of urgency and no-nonsense attitude. Its open and constructive collaboration with our other IT vendors also sets Comptel apart from the pack – we consider the company to be a role model for others across the telecommunications sector.”

We couldn’t be happier about this feedback and distinction, as it reinforces the effort we’ve put into building close, fruitful long-term relationships with our CSP customers. Comptel first started working with TDC in 2007. And since then, particularly with the launch of its customer experience programme—TAK (“Tag ansvar for Kunden”)—in 2009, we’ve been committed to adapting the CSP’s IT requirements to achieve its goals.

Comptel looks forward to growing our partnership with this significant European operator group in the future.

Comptel’s Juhani Hintikka Named CEO of the Year

Comptel is pleased to announce that Juhani Hintikka has been named one of the CEOs of the Year, being honoured for his work in transforming Comptel’s business and strategy. Since joining Comptel in January 2011, Juhani has focused on extending the company’s position in the global telecommunications/OSS market, including developing its product portfolio, services business and go-to-market strategy and ensuring Comptel’s close collaboration with customers and partners.

The 2013 CEO World Awards is a top honour for CEOs, entrepreneurs and the organisations they run. It is a prestigious listing which has included leaders such as Marissa Mayer (Yahoo), Marc Benioff (Salesforce.com), Sir Richard Branson (Virgin), Steve Jobs (Apple) and even Walt Disney!

Juhani is recognised in 2013 alongside other CEOs such as Tim Cook (the new CEO of Apple), Dick Costolo (CEO of Twitter) and other technology leaders.

Importantly, Juhani has been named “The Transformer,” a title which expresses the change Comptel has experienced since he became CEO. Over the past 12 months in particular, Comptel has seen some significant achievements. Under Juhani’s guidance, we’ve focused on the execution of our strategic framework, helped communications service providers (CSPs) build better, more emotional connections with their own customers, and established great new partnerships throughout the year.

We’re very pleased that Juhani was recognized for his outstanding leadership!

Comptel Recognised by Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific as Most Innovative Telecom OSS / BSS Vendor of the Year

Comptel is pleased to announce that Frost & Sullivan has named it the Most Innovative Telecom OSS / BSS Vendor of the Year. The analyst firm’s annual Asia Pacific ICT awards program is given to companies that displayed growth in performance and groundbreaking achievements. In addition to those metrics, Frost & Sullivan examined nominees’ major customer acquisitions, portfolio diversity and product innovation.

Kari Jokela, vice president, Asia Pacific, was on tap to receive the award in a ceremony at the St. Regis in Singapore.

Specifically, Comptel Social Links, which was introduced to the APAC market and globally in 2012 following the acquisition of Xtract, has been key to our continuing innovation in the market and raising the bar when it comes to customer experience management. The integration of the advanced predictive analytics technology into our proven mediation and fulfillment software platform has challenged the traditional OSS / BSS approach, and allowed communications service providers to integrate their sales, technology and marketing organisations, and transform their Big Data into big opportunities. This has placed us in a unique position in the market.

We are honored to receive this award, because it shows that Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific believes in our Event – Analysis – Action strategic framework. We know that our customers and partners not just on the continent but also worldwide share our belief in that strategy, too, and are realising the powerful impact that automated decision-making and customer interaction can have on their businesses.

We would also like to take the opportunity to congratulate our customer Robi Axiata Limited, who were named Emerging Market Service Provider of the Year during the awards ceremony.

Thank you, and there are plenty of more exciting things to come in 2013 and beyond!
